Welcome to New York's Center for Spine Excellence. We specialize in complex high risk spinal diseases. New York Spinal Specialists is led by Sebastian Lattuga, MD, a well-known spine surgeon in the New York Metro area. He practices in four locations and is the Chief of Spine Surgery at Franklin Hospital, which is part of the North Shore LIJ Health Systems.

Dr. Lattuga is rated as one of New York's premier surgeons. Press Ganey, a nationally recognized healthcare survey company, interviewed 560 of Dr. Lattuga's surgery patients over a five year period as part of a survey of physicians in all the major hospitals in the New York area. What makes us different?

We offer both Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) and traditionally performed highly complex surgeries. However, many patients with complex high risk spinal diseases are not good candidates for Minimally Invasive Surgeries (MIS). We are one of the few practices that can offer traditionally performed surgeries for these complex cases.
